Money. A medium of exchange. And it all started with coconuts and bananas. Someone needed coconuts, someone else needed bananas, voila, they had a deal. Goods and services were swapped at an agreed upon value as the first form of money in society. Fast forward 11,000 years (plus or minus a few) and we now have paper money, credit cards, Venmo, Paypal, and even digital and programmable money. Sacks of coconuts? No longer required.
